Meet the Cub Cheer Directors!!
This is an incredible group of coaches this year :). They are the true inspiration behind this program. This team has a full plate on their hands. They work jobs, practice everyday, do gymnastics, go to school, spend time with their families and coach cub cheerleaders. We love watching them on Friday nights as much we love watching the football team. Way to go! Thanks for all your hard work!
Jeannie Berger- Cub Cheerleading Director
Born in Grand Rapids, I moved to Jenison when I was 9 years old. I went to Bursley Elementary and Jenison Jr. High School. Freshman year, I moved over to Unity Christian High School, where I graduated. I attended a few classes at GRCC, but decided to move on into the working world full time.
For the last twelve years, I have worked at Weller Truck Parts. I started as a receptionist and moved up to purchasing and then to the Accounts Payable dept. in the Corporate office. 2 years ago I became a licensed Real Estate Agent and really enjoy working with all kinds of people and in the real estate industry. It has become a huge passion of mine.
I have been married to my husband for 2 years and have three amazing children, Caiden age 9, Kennedy age 8, and Decklyn age 3. My two older children now attend Bursley and my youngest is at the ECC. As a family, we love to go camping, swimming, walking/hiking together, and family movie/game night is one of our favorite activities.
For the past several years, I have been a registered official with the MHSAA for competitive cheerleading. I was a cheerleader throughout junior high and high school and have a HUGE love for cheerleading. Being a judge for competitive cheer has been a really great experience for me and has led me to this very exciting new opportunity at Jenison as the Cub Cheerleading Director. I am really looking forward to being a part of this program and working with you and all of your children in the cheer setting!

She is married and the mother of one. She is excited to continue with the Jenison Cheer Program.
Wendy Kenney- Varsity Sideline Coach
Wendy is a veteran coach with 25 years of coaching experience with 17 of them being at Jenison! Since beginning at Jenison, Wendy founded the Cub Cheerleading program, Kid's camps, and hosted the first Jenison Competitive Cheer Invitational. Wendy is an MHSAA Registered Official and has officiated at MHSAA Regionals. She has been a Fall and Spring Conference Speaker, Michigan Safety Clinic Director and is a member of various coaching and judging associations. Wendy was selected MCCA 1999 Regional Coach of the Year, CCCAM 2001 Regional Coach of the Year and MCCA 2001 Michigan Coach of the year! Wendy works full time at Gordon Food Service in the Accounts Receivable department. In addition, Wendy created her own business, Top Notch Tally Service, which services many schools at their competitive cheer meets.
Our most important coaches are the ones that conduct the practices and coach all of the games! Our high school cheerleaders practice every day for their varsity sport and coach cub cheerleading in addition to their time commitment.
